Westbrook posted a video over the weekend in which she accused Charles of “problematic behaviour” which included “manipulating people’s sexuality.”
“You are using your fame, power and money to play with people’s emotions,” she said in the 43-minute video, titled BYE SISTER.
“You’re threatening to ruin them and embarrass them, and you’re doing that to have them behave sexually in your favour even if they’re straight?”
Though James has since apologised to Westbrook “for everything” and has denied claims that he pressured anyone into a romantic relationship, the vlogger’s follower count has since dropped by over two million.
His apology video, titled Tati, had racked up 2.6 million dislikes at the time of writing, becoming the ninth most disliked video on YouTube.
Here are some of the famous faces who have chosen to distance themselves from Charles on social media.
Make-up entrepreneur Jenner was among the first big names to unfollow James. The pair previously joined forces for a Halloween beauty tutorial video, after the reality star tweeted him to request a collaboration.
The rapper has previously featured on Charles’ YouTube channel, and returned the favour by asking the vlogger to appear in the music video for her track Sally Walker.
Jenner’s older sister has taken her sibling’s lead and hit unfollow on James, despite them previously collaborating on a YouTube video with Kardashian’s close friend and go-to make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic.
Charles previously apologised to Mendes after posting alleged inappropriate comments on his Instagram, telling fans: “I’m upset, embarrassed and sorry if he felt sexually harassed.”
The pair crossed paths at the Met Gala earlier this month, but Cyrus has since hit unfollow on the teen.
The singer announced Charles’ ground-breaking appointment as beauty brand CoverGirl’s first male spokesperson back in 2016.
Fellow YouTuber Star has exchanged harsh words with Charles before, but the pair were thought to have patched things up in recent months – until Westbrook dropped her video, that is.
Charles recently posted a photo of himself along with the singer, leading some fans to believe that he had recorded a collaboration video with Lovato.
It seems there is no love lost between these two, with Charles previously branding Grande the “rudest celebrity” he has met.
